Google Web Fonts WordPress Plugin

Google Web Fonts for WordPress plugin makes it quick and easy to use the Google Web Font Directory from the administration panel within WordPress. It utilizes the Google Web Font API Loader to display fonts that are not installed on the user’s computer.

Notes

At the time of writing version 1.0, the Google Web Font API is in very early beta, as is the Google Font Directory. Thus, font’s do take a couple of seconds to load, and some of them are not active. As the testing progresses, it is sure to speed up a bit, and have more and more supported fonts. To ensure your WordPress website looks as you would like it, use the “Default Font” to enter your existing font, this plugin will override all fonts selected in CSS that are not inline.

The initial fonts  in Version 1.0 are:

  • Google Font: Lobster
  • Default Font: Trebuchet MS

*** These are just the first ones loaded when you activate the plugin, you can use any font in the Google Font Directory.
